Hartwig currently has a full-time opportunity available for a CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer supporting our territory in Missouri, mid to southern Illinois, and Iowa.This position providestechnical resource to sales and customers in all application functions. With over 200team members in nine locations throughout the United States, we strive toprovide the best manufacturing solutions and support (Sales, Engineering, Applications, Service and Parts) to the machine tool industry.To learn more about Hartwig visit our website at www.hartwiginc.com.If you share our passion for manufacturing and strive to be the best by learning every day, read on.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARTWIG APPLICATION ENGINEER:Evaluates manufacturing processes and recommends industry-leading solutions.Develops and tests alternative processing methods.Performs time studies for process improvement recommendations.Provides technical support for customers including programming and machine set-up.Oversees machine installations.Conducts research and assists with presenting proposals to customers.Performs on-site customer programming and machine operation training to customers.Sets up, programs, and demonstrates machine tools for customers.TO JOIN THE HARTWIG TEAM, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:Two-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience.Previous work history including; machining process development, project management, and/or CNC programming.Okuma machine programming experience is desired, but not required.Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options, and functions.Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and background.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with sales to provide customer solutions.Capable of building lasting and trusting relationships with customers.Travel 35%HARTWIG BENEFITS:CompetitiveCompensationComprehensive Health Benefits PackageCompany-Paid Life InsuranceCompany-Paid Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability401(k) with Company Matching ProgramPersonal Financial AdviserTime Off with Paid HolidaysLaptop and Cell PhoneTraining Program(s)Valid driver's license in state of primary residence required.
