SYSTEMS ANALYST IIINFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENTStarting Salary: Min $64,654.85 Mid $83,113.81 per year This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including Paid Time Off, Extended Medical Leave, Holidays, Employee Health, Dental, Life, Disability, Retirement, and Tuition Assistance programs. JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to plan, design, develop, launch and maintain efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This position will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues and design and develop our infrastructure to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.Responsible for the overall monitoring and management of all infrastructure service categories including; Servers, Networks, Storage, Backup, VOIP and other systems as designated.Performs daily systems/network monitoring.Performs security hardening and configuration reviews as suggested by Security Analyst.Responds to down devices, performance or capacity issues and assigned tickets in a timely fashion.Troubleshooting of systems and devices (configuration, permissions, feature compatibility, etc.).Participates in Major Incident Response as Tier 2 escalation.Participates in team on call rotation.Create/Manage Virtual Machines, restore as needed, investigate and resolve issues proactively.Create/Manage Backup, restore as needed, address failures, investigate and resolve issues proactively.Deploy Network devices, troubleshoot network devices and connectivity issues within a LAN site or investigate, resolve or escalate WAN site issues.Manage clustered storage and SAN volumes, performing maintenance and expanding when needed.Maintains replication health on Clusters and SANs.System Maintenance Tasks (Firmware upgrades, patching, disk space, restarts).Deployment Project Tasks for Business and IT Project of Low to Medium complexity.Provides technical mentoring and guidance to other IS staff as needed.Responsible for system configuration and procedural knowledge documentation.Maintains monitoring systems health and configuration.Works with hardware vendors, circuit providers and other external partners to resolve issues.Responsible for the overall availability and performance of all infrastructure service categories including; Servers, Networks, Storage, Backup, VOIP and other systems as designated.Updates Design Drawings and Systems Documentation in a timely fashion following deployments.Manages Wide Area Network capability including routing, site uplinks, trunk ports, VPN mgmt., etc.Manages Core switching of datacenters and primary sites.Responsible for Physical Hosts and Cluster Mgmt., maintenance and health, escalated troubleshooting from Tier 1.Backup Appliance and Storage Mgmt. maintenance and health monitoring escalated troubleshooting from Tier 1.Evaluates capacity and utilization for all networks and systems.Leads Problem Mgmt. investigation into Root Cause Analysis for known errors, proposes and coordinates implementation of device or service remediation.Deployment Project Tasks for Business and IT Project of Medium to High complexity.Conducts solution review for new applications to determine fit with current platform and support practices.Draft Proposals for improvements to System Availability, System Performance, Monitoring Systems, IP Address Mgmt., Identity and Authentication.Obtains quotes from vendors to accompany proposals for device deployment.Automates repetitive maintenance tasks using PowerShell wherever possible.Leads annual device inventory and support/warranty review effort.Leads device lifecycle replacements.Reviews OPS policy and procedure knowledge documentation.Provides mentoring and guidance to Systems Analyst I where needed.Organizes vendor issues by category of service and highlights patterns of non-performance or identifies needed improvement in servi
