American Railcar Industries in St. Charles, MO seeks SAP Business Intelligence Architect. Primarily responsible for developing and supporting the analytic technologies that give ARI management flexible and structured access to the company's data. Designing and implementing modeling metadata, building reports, and some requirements gathering, data modeling, report creation and automation, end user education and training. Understanding key performance measures and indicators that drive company measurement, reporting and analytics across key data sources. Building and managing the library portfolio of model metrics, documents, templates, reports, dashboard, or other reusable BI assets, to understand day to day operations and drive key business decisions. Performing logical and physical data modeling to support business intelligence initiatives. Using data mining, model building and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive and inform the business. Loading data warehouse systems from different source systems (such as ECC) and flat files or tables using standard extraction tools. Being familiar with techniques and technology for managing very large database/data warehouses including Hana, BIA, indexes, statistics, compression, partitioning and data deletion to all applicable BI objects. Driving issue resolution associated with the implementation and testing of SAP BW upgrades and service pack enhancements. Representing the IT team through interaction with business users or business analysts to gather reporting and analytic requirements. Collaborating with developers, stakeholders and subject-matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs. Engaging the BASIS team to establish the appropriate security model for any new enhancements or changes, expert with the implemented SAP security mode for SAP BI. Responding to high priority requests from senior business leaders. Recommending and implementing data quality improvement processes and initiatives. Updating job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art/industry relevant tools, techniques, and equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. Training other technical associates on SAP BI/BW technologies and assisting in cross training others to ensure coverage and shared departmental knowledge. 40 Hours per week. Salary $116,000 to $121,000. BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or closely related. Five years of experience in SAP BI/BW systems design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support. Expertise in design, creation, and enhancement of BW objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, Data/Info Sources, DataStore Objects, Muliproviders, InfoSets, to create a unified data delivery solution.
