Phelps County Regional Medical Center Sr. Operations Systems Analyst in Rolla, Missouri

  • The Sr.Operations Systems Analyst ensures that Phelps Health System Environments are updated, patched and that new software is implemented as directed. Also tests and troubleshoots system errors and updates as they occur. This position works on additional projects as directed by the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses troubleshooting techniques and tools to accurately identify problems and apply the most effective solution for escalated Call Center tickets, and/or issues. Handles additional projects as directed by the Operations Manager.

  • Performs installations, troubleshooting and monitoring within Phelps Health’s Microsoft (SCCM) environment using Microsoft Systems Center to ensure that all Phelps Health computers have necessary software installed.

  • Packages multiple programs using Microsoft Systems Installer (MSI) for deployment via the Microsoft Systems Center (SCCM) environment.

  • Installs Windows Critical Security updates to ensure protection of all computers.

  • Issues commands sent to multiple computers at once as directed.

  • Assists in asset tracking and software expiration replacement planning.

  • Plans, directs, organizes, and controls the use of IT resources to restore operational functionality (incidents) and satisfy customer requests for new services (Service Requests).

  • Provides guidance and support to Workstation Analysts, Software Administration Services and Networking staff.

  • Assists in performing complicated tasks (such as: enterprise-wide operating system and software upgrades, managing vendor relations, troubleshooting over the telephone, creating FAQs for end users, evaluating software and hardware, performing IT industry related research.

Job Qualifications

  • Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field from regionally accredited college, technical schooling or university preferred.

  • Work Experience

  • Two (2) years of directly related experience in Information Technologies with specific emphasis on supporting end-user software and hardware.

  • Certification/License

  • Desktop: CompTIA A+

  • Network: CompTIA Network+

  • Server: MCSA (Server 2012)

  • Candidates could potentially be hired having not met all certification criterion, but will be required to adhere to an education plan to achieve all of the above listed certifications.

Mental/Physical Requirements

  • Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time on variable operations. Physical requirements of standing, walking, sitting, and lifting (25 lbs.) will be necessary.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office conditions with frequent interruptions; well lighted, climate controlled area.

  • Constant noise from fans and printers for extended periods of time.
