Description:

Business unit seeks software developer to support a proprietary mortgage Quality Assurance (QA) risk application and reporting system. This position will work closely with team members, business analysts, and management to understand and recommend business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions including but not limited to supporting, creating, integrating and streamlining systems.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 3 - 5+ years development experience using ASP.NET / C# / VB.NET / T-SQL / SQL

  • Designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Git, or SVN

  • Proficient understanding of object-oriented programming, database design, performance tuning, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) functions

Education Level

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Strong candidates with demonstrable experience can be accepted without a degree

Non-Technical Skills

  • Good communication, written and presentation skills with non-technical/business users

  • Strong work ethic and a self-starter. Must demonstrate ownership and initiative

  • Ability to acquire the business knowledge. Mortgage background a plus

Desirable Skills

  • Broad knowledge of programming languages, patterns, and architectures (i.e. SQL, T-SQL, .NET, C#, NoSQL, MongoDB, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, Javascript etc.)

  • Business Intelligence reporting (i.e. SSRS)

  • Virtual data

  • Graphic design concepts
