Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Capacity Planning
Manage platform capacity and provide utilization statistics for Compute infrastructure supporting multiple datacenters, off and on premises cloud infrastructure
Responsible for Compute, Hypervisor and Storage infrastructure analysis, providing performance and utilization statistics, partnering with application teams in driving efficiency on resource consumption
Flexible in managing brownfield and Greenfield compute infrastructure
Drive efficiency, help right size the Cloud footprint. Strategically partner with Cloud infrastructure team, map key workloads to future service offerings driving efficiency
Develop cost management models for cloud services to focus on ROI and ease of use.Develop methodologies or tools to help quantify resource needs. Periodically review application cloud capacity usage for on and off premises, Identify opportunities for cost avoidance or savings in turn reducing OPEX costs for the business
Work closely with Cloud infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams to identify or validate gaps and explore potential short-term and long-term solutions, provide key voice in influencing technology decision
Drive efficiency, help right size the Cloud footprint. Evangelize technology solution and provide capacity guidance for cloud service offerings
Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of MasterCard cloud and Public cloud service offerings
Strong background in Linux / Windows administration
Experience with Splunk and vRealize Operations (Reports, Dashboards, and TA development)
Able to coordinate with multiple teams to monitor/forecast capacity needs
Strong analytic and organizational skills
Ability to drive process improvement and focus on operational efficiency
Familiarity with Container environment PCF/Azure/AWS/GCP a plus
Experience with Tableau for advanced reporting a plus
