Citigroup Mortgage Sales Strategy Program Lead in O'Fallon, Missouri

Job Description

The Mortgage Sales Strategy Program Lead is part of the Mortgage Sales Strategy and Execution Team accountable for planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, projects and programs that enable sales team to support revenue growth, and deliver best-in-class client experience. This is a high impact role and work impacts the performance of mortgage sales team across sales channels, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sales organization.

The mortgage business is pursuing a growth agenda and shift to digital mortgages. A successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives across business segments and make decisions that put our clients first in everything we do. The candidate will also receive an acute understanding of the levers that foster the growth of mortgage business in the face of evolving consumer behavior. The ideal candidate should be highly detail oriented while not losing sight of the big picture. They should be relentlessly curious, proactive, an eager self-starter, and a digital enthusiast who champions progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new programs and own end-to-end execution plan from inception through implementation. Ensure all stakeholders are identified and understand the program schedule, key milestones, and deliverables

  • Assess market, competitive landscape and industry trends as it relates to mortgage products/programs, digital capabilities and client experiences

  • Own, direct and collaborate with digital product owners to deliver a portfolio of critical initiatives, acting as an internal consultant and trusted partner to create compelling, data-driven and digital-centric business cases

  • Plan, direct and coordinate day-to-day activities to evolve and improve existing programs and client experience across channels (digital, branch, contact center)

  • Build annual and quarterly roadmaps to achieve program goals, driving a cross functional approach with multiple partners including marketing, digital, technology, risk, legal, governance and compliance

  • Lead cross functional working teams to develop strategy, drive high profile business priorities, and ensure timely delivery of new programs/projects

  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop and refine B2C marketing plans across channels (print, email, social media etc.) and ensure marketing material and campaigns are well aligned for revenue growth and are driving desired client experience

  • Collaborate with Divisional Strategy Managers and Sales Managers to solicit feedback on strategies and influence their teams to drive adoption of programs

  • Partner with technology and Salesforce teams to design and implement solutions, including documenting business and functional requirements, drafting user stories, testing, and planning communications and trainings

  • Build and maintain program KPI reports & dashboards with insightful analysis to operate effectively

  • Work with Program Sponsors or Senior Management to ensure business case and cost benefit analysis is in line with the business objectives. Prepare business reviews to highlight program results and recommendations to Senior Management

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in program management, strategic planning, corporate strategy. Prior experience in financial services, fintech, marketing, technology, digital, or analytics strongly preferred.

  • Problem Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, articulate problems, generate solutions based on logical reasoning, and choose appropriate alternatives when needed.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with knowledge of creating standard reports, trend analysis, and KPIs & success metrics.

  • Project Management Skills: Ability to translate ideas and vision into business projects and tangible deliverables. Ability to manage multiple projects/programs across various business segments.

  • Proactive Approach: Ability to perform with least supervision and ready to take ownership & accountability in a matrix organization.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills for internal and external negotiations, and to guide, influence and convince cross-functional partners.

  • High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
