Team Lead | Senior Marketing Partner

Job Description:

As a Team Lead, Senior Marketing Partner, you will create, analyze and execute marketing plans and strategies to support business growth. You will appreciate the importance of how to listen to client's needs, understand market dynamics and create compelling value narratives that help the client feel valued and Cerner solutions meet their needs. Additionally, you will recognize the importance of understanding where clients are in the lifecycle and how to operationalize this value story across client touchpoints. Furthermore, you will focus on developing a profound understanding of prospective and current clients’ needs to provide strategic marketing consultation to support business development, client engagement and sales objectives. You will use your creativity to develop overarching messaging and a holistic value stories for clients that will be communicated through integrated marketing plans and client executive touch points. You will collaborate across Marketing, Business Units and Sales to align marketing and sales strategies, provide a unified, personalized client marketing strategy and message to increase retention and address clients’ needs as they evolve. Starting with the planning phase of client opportunities, you will provide guidance, engage the right decision makers and consistently map up to the client’s imperatives throughout the entire process. ​Through your strong communication skills, you will consult with business executives to prioritize areas for marketing focus including key performance metrics, and measure the outcomes and value of marketing against stated business imperatives. Furthermore, you will develop strong relationships and accountability with business leaders as a marketing liaison to a segment or organization. You will leverage your organizational and analytical skills to learn multiple solutions, services and thematic capabilities and define value to client segments and roles; research and implement innovative approaches for client segment lifecycle outreach to influence business outcomes and client value; brainstorm and present ideas, processes and solutions to issues and client opportunities; monitor market and competitive trends and activities to identify opportunities and key issues; and evaluate solution, services and experience feedback including marketing analytics and outcomes to influence business, marketing and brand plans.

As a manager of people, you will seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. You will delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. As a leader, you will identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. You will lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Additional responsibilities include, creating a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, creating accountability, motivating and assessing performance, providing timely feedback to encourage success, recognizing their accomplishments and connecting opportunities for your associates’ development. You will also identify the right talent to achieve the desired results; and promote and build a diverse cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps. You will participate and direct your team to continually enhance marketing and Cerner knowledge and expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and staying up to date on health care industry news and events.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Health Care Administration or related field of study or relevant, equivalent work experience

  • At least 4 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​At least 3 years of Client, Account Based Marketing or Field Marketing

Expectations

  • Experience with creating and implementing successful sales process/methodology/sales playbook initiatives; including the supporting content and use these frameworks to enable and measure the teams

  • Experience as a story teller who paints the picture for the audience

  • Proven strengths in embracing change and generating new ideas

  • Strong leadership and project management skills necessary to effectively manage project timelines and cross-functional teams with excellence

  • Strategic thinking skills – both business and brand strategy

  • A clear focus on executional excellence and strong attention to detail

  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Kansas City area
