Job Description:

The Physician Documentation group enhances and supports solutions that allow physicians to document various aspects of a person’s encounter. The Physician Documentation team owns Dynamic Documentation, PowerNote and Clinical Notes solutions. Dynamic Documentation and Clinical Notes are free text based documentation solutions and PowerNote is more of a structured documentation solution.

The Physician Documentation team is looking a Test Automation Engineer. The Test Automation Engineer defines, develops, maintains, and execute automation tests. You will also maintain and assist with development of the test automation architecture. You will also document test execution issues and deliverables, troubleshoot testing scenarios and domain issues and write scripts in one or more programming languages. This role is responsible for collaborating with the solution designers, the architects and the engineers and for ensuring that our solutions are thoroughly tested via automation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Experience with testing and test automation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rational IBM Rational Quality Manager experience

  • Automation experience utilizing Eggplant Functional

  • Clinical experience or healthcare background

  • Experience with Physician Documentation solutions

  • Front-line experience triaging issues related to automation.


  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City, MO area

  • Ability to work overtime and irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
