Cerner’s HealtheIntent Site Reliability Engineering team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. Our mission is to defend and improve the reliability of HealtheIntent. SRE(s) will have a watchful eye on the availability, scalability, performance and reliability of all HealtheIntent services.

In SRE, you will deep dive into operational issues; from the software, systems, automation, and process perspectives. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to handle the complex problems at scale; which are unique to Cerner while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large scale system design.

•Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related Technology field and 3 years of work experience in Software Engineering.
•A minimum of five years of experience in one or more of: C, C++, Java, Ruby
•Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, OpenStack)
•Experience with container technologies and orchestration layers (Docker, Mesos, Marathon, etc)
•Experience with continuous delivery methodologies and implementation practices
•Solid understanding of application design, including operational trade-offs of various designs
•An understanding of DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, Git and Jenkins
•Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols
•Understanding of Linux system internals
•Practical knowledge of data processing and service design
•Solid understanding of systems and application design
•Algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
•Excellent written and social communication, and documentation skills
