World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a vRealize Architect our global engineering team.This position will be focused on VMware and its associated technical requirements, enablement requirements, and customer facing delivery activities.
Work with Sales engineers to review and validate understanding of customer requirements and translate initial scope into actionable items
Participate in the creation of High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs for areas of expertise
Design and Implement IT solutions and service offerings at customer sites--locally, regionally, and nationally as well as provide feedback for improvement
Generate project support documentation, including procedural documents for implemented systems when scope requires
Maintain required level of knowledge on company-offered solutions including the completion of assigned courses and relevant certification exams when applicable.
Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements within existing technologies
Be able to educate others within the organizations in the areas of your expertise
Work as part of an implementation team and maintain a strong adherence to WWT Core Values
Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years of relevant product experience preferred
Must possess a minimum of 4-5 years of recent, relevant experience with VMware products and network management and implementations
CCNA/CCNP Data Center or equivalent experience required
VMware Certified Professional -- Datacenter Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
VMware Certified Professional -- Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
Strong organizational skills and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail
Independent and self-motivated and very thorough worker
Troubleshooting skills (patience and determination to find and solve problems)
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Proven experience in designing, deploying and managing VMware vRealize integration.
Demonstrated experience with network overlay technologies like VXLAN, OTV and EVPN/BGP.
Experience with using cloud management portals such as vRealize Automation, OpenStack, AWS, Azure
Network Security Tools and Networking Concepts such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, Security/Trust Zones, L2 Switching and L3 routing. VLANs, Unicast vs Multicast, Management Networks, routing, VPN and network design.
Experience with Spine-Leaf (Clos) network topologies
L3 Routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Experience working with vendors such as Cisco, F5, Riverbed, Force10, Vyatta/Brocade, A10 Networks, Arista, Infoblox, Palo Alto Networks
Experience with integrating heterogeneous networking and security environments
STRONGLY DESIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Cisco UCS, Nexus switching, MDS storage fabrics, NetApp and/or EMC storage frames
Experience with manipulating RESTful APIs to programmatically automate manual tasks
Experience working within an Agile/scrum framework
Familiarity with the Cloud ecosystem, products and solutions
