GEHA Intern, Developer in Lee’s Summit, Missouri

SKILLS

GEHA’s Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) is the center point for Data Management and Analytics. The team works to integrate and manage data from various systems to allow both individuals and applications to have the data and insights they need to make data driven decisions. The team is also responsible for integration with external vendors to ensure quality and timely data extraction.

The Intern Developer will work with senior developers, managers, other data technology teams, and business stakeholders to assist in projects centered around data management at GEHA. This will involve learning and applying our best practices around data movement and management, learning business process, and creating data movement pipelines.

An Ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Basic understanding of SQL

  • Desire to learn

  • Enjoys solving problems

  • Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university focused in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering

Technologies we utilize:

  • SQL DB

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Azure Devops

  • GIT

  • Profisee MDM

  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

  • PowerBI

  • Visual Studio

Minimum Requirements

  • 3.0 overall GPA

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Good analytical skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word
