Job Description:
The Upgrade Center provides a centralized group of experts specializing in Cerner software upgrades and package testing. Each client is assigned a team that may be comprised of an Upgrade Engagement Owner, Upgrade Engagement Controller, Solution Architect(s), Delivery Consultants and a Cerner upgrade technical team.
The Upgrade Engagement Controller is responsible driving package testing activities and leading upgrade projects. Package testing responsibilities include weekly integration with client change control process and meetings, identification of code testing requirements, management of testing events, and weekly issue status reports for external and internal client communication. Software upgrade project responsibilities may include the management of multiple upgrade projects across single or multi-upgrade platforms, execution of code and domain strategies, and management and resolution of project issues, and weekly issue status reports for external and internal client communication.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Millennium solution implementation or upgrade experience
Healthcare information system (clinical and/or financial) upgrade, implementation, and/or support experience
Project management experience
Basic knowledge of IT governance, package management, and change control processes
1+ years of health care information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or support work experience
Expectations
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area
Ability to travel 20%
