Technical Support Engineer

Job Description:

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide Technical Support for internal Tools/Applications and Processes.  The Technical Support Engineer proactively monitors system/application alarms, investigate, analyze, resolve, or escalate alarms and service requests.

You will prioritize and manage work queue in accordance with service level agreements, document investigation and issue resolution, triage issues to appropriate second-level resources for resolution, investigate and diagnose performance issues of Tools/Applications.

This requires troubleshooting by gathering information, shadowing end users, testing workflows internally/externally, analyzing log files, working with third party vendors, querying tables and updating database fields.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and Linux/Unix.

  • Experience with Tools like Maven/Docker, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus etc.

  • Ability to perform investigative techniques related to reading log files, debugging errors, and querying databases.

  • 3-5 Years of experience in Applications/Tools Support.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to learn & work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and apply new technical skills & concepts quickly.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/issues simultaneously.

  • Must possess the initiative to resolve issues before they become critical.

  • Innovative, self-motivated, and able to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Possess basic Knowledge of Software Life cycle.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional customer service & people skills.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail while providing consistent results

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report and compromises of security within scope of position.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
