The Engineering Processes team within has an immediate opportunity for an IT Systems Analyst to provide technical expertise for driving efficiency and effectiveness of the systems used in Project Management Organizations (PMO). Candidate should be able to support Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool improvements from defining business requirements, developing solutions, supporting implementation and after go-live support. Candidate must be able to effectively interact with users to understand requirements and technical issues. Must be a team player, and must be able to clearly document all configurations and customizations developed. Knowledge of Planview or similar PPM solution is required.
Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
Provide Tier 2 customer support and database configuration changes following defined change control processes
Creates technical documentation to support ongoing technical support and maintenance of the system
Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
Supports one or more highly complex business processes
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
2-4 years experience required as System Analyst 2 or 5-7 years required as System Analyst
Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details
Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solution.
Ability to create plain language technical documentation
Technical knowledge of PlanView or other market leading PPM solution
Experience with business processes such as product development, plant transfer or similar
Experience with project management methodology such as PMI
Experience with Analytics tools: Power BI, Business Object or similar
Experience with SAP integrations
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
