The position of Software Engineer III is a part of our Toxicology business unit, principally located in our Kansas City, Missouri office. The eScreen Software Engineer is a creative software professional capable of moving quickly while breaking down and solving complex problems. We are developers who own our solutions and influence the direction of our technology. As a member of our high performing eScreen Agile Scrum team, our people are highly collaborative, demonstrating a high level of team communication and cooperation.
Key responsibilities include innovative development solutions, design, and best practices applied to user-focused sustainable software solutions utilizing cutting edge technologies. Collaborate closely with the teamto take shared responsibility for the overall efforts to which the team hascommitted itself
Interact with users to clarifyrequirements and take ownership for the quality of software
Break larger projects into smallerones that can be delivered iteratively, using an Agile mindset
Work with existing toolsets whilebringing new ideas and approaches into the team
Support post-deployment falloutson projects worked on and released to production
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Bachelor’sDegree in Computer Science or a related degree, or equivalent work experience
3or more years of enterprise software development in a team environment with theMicrosoft Technology Stack
Knowledgeof Microservices design architecture
Experiencein one or more modern front-end technologies such as React
Understandingof object-oriented design and development such as SOLID Principles
Experiencewriting unit tests, test-driven development, and mocking
Experiencedesigning and writing restful web services
Experienceusing Entity Framework
MicrosoftAzure or other certifications
Detailedunderstanding of relational database design principles
Workingknowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applicationsincluding Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
Problem-solvingand decision-making skills
Abilityto work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Abilityto set and meet tight deadlines and function well under pressure
