Abbott is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst, Special Projects to join the finance team in our Kansas City office. As the Senior Financial Analyst, Special Projects, you will assist with financial operations, working collaboratively with the finance team, business leaders, and the leadership team to enable strategic decision-making. You will be a significant contributor to special projects including implementation of new financial policies and processes, process improvement, project-based financial analysis a wide range of ad-hoc finance projects.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support
Perform project-based financial modeling and analysis includingdevelopment of assumptions, creation of modeling, comparing forecast toactuals, and reporting key metrics to business stakeholders
Support daily refresh and reporting of project projections
Work collaboratively with the commercial sales team, finance teamand business leaders to develop and maintain detailed project forecasts
Support internal business partners with managing to forecast andproactively elevate risks and opportunities
Special Project Coordination
Serve as project manager for key finance and accountinginitiatives
Work closely with broader finance and accounting team members toidentify process or system gaps, plan projects, and implement value-addedprocess improvements.
Represent finance team in quarterly IT roadmap planning andprioritization
Assist with special projects and prepare ad-hoc analysis tosupport strategic decision-making (e.g., “what if" analysis, businessforecasting, profitability projections)
Performs other duties as assignedby the Vice President of Finance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Bachelor’sdegree in accounting or finance
4-7years of progressive accounting experience
Priorexperience serving in a project management capacity
Master’sdegree in accounting or business
LicensedCertified Public Accountant
Experienceworking with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, SAGE, or the HFM suite of products
Experienceworking with budgets and forecasts
Extensiveexperience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Havinga growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the passion to learn
Strongproject management skills and capacity to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptionalanalytical capabilities and attention to detail
Strongtechnical writing and documentation skills
Processorientation and a broad knowledge of finance and accounting best practices
A provenability to execute
Abilityto work independently and complete tasks on-time with minimal supervision
Excelmastery and proven experience in building strong financial models required
PowerPointmastery and the ability to present complex financial concepts in concise,understandable terms to a wide range of audiences
