The Region Purchasing Analyst is responsible for inventory control and supply planning to avoid stock outs and reduce slow moving/obsolete stock.

Analyze sales and forecast requirements to improve fill rate and product availability.
Maintain system controls and records to ensure accurate and efficient purchase orders.
Enter purchase orders as needed to replenish inventory at required levels.
Focus on reducing inbound and inter-company freight through optimal purchasing.
Focus on reducing or eliminating slow moving and obsolete inventory.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Proactively identify new strategic actions to enhance purchasing effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related area of study required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in import purchasing or inventory planning preferred.
Must be aware of various business etiquette to deal with coworkers and customers.
Project coordination capabilities and analytic skills.
Require office experience in a professional environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Must be detail oriented, strong organizational and communication skills.
Motivated self-starter with the interpersonal skills required to work with others in a collaborative environment.
Comfortable learning new systems; quick learner
AS400 experience preferred.
Strong negotiation skills preferred.
