Program Manager - Global Security Business Support

Develop and implement strategies that position Global Security to be more responsive and flexible, focusing on a longer-term (5 - 10 year) horizon.

Lead the technical or operational efforts of management, including evaluation of technical or operational objectives and programs to determine compatibility with inter- and intra-divisional directives including the Global Security 5 Year Facility Plan, and Capital Equipment Planning Process.

Implementation of facilities infrastructure planning to include liaison with KCNSC facilities group, CPZ, and NNSA site representation.

Lead the technical or operational efforts of management for evaluation of technical or operational objectives and programs supporting the Global Security sponsor demand.

Function in a lead technical/advisory role which may involve responsibility for the work of specific individuals and providing technical direction to them.

Work with management and other functional areas to formulate and implement strategies necessary to meet a broad range of plant-wide objectives.

Act as a member of technical advisory committees and represent management, as directed, in meetings or appropriate functions.

Develop, coordinate, and direct the implementation of special technical or operational management initiatives or projects with broad business emphasis.

Facilitate and prepare feasibility studies, including cost, scope, schedule, and risk for facilities and infrastructure projects.

Provide technical analysis and input regarding special studies as requested by the customer.

Serve as liaison between our customers and KCP management by representing KCP and providing a conduit for feedback, communication and on-going interaction.

May perform other duties as required.

May lead teams at other sites.

May be assigned to interface at customer locations.

Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.

* You Must Have: *

US Citizenship to obtain US Dept. of Energy "Q" level security clearance and SCI accesses.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or business-related field.

7+ years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing or business related activities to include managing projects and/or programs and leading multi-disciplined teams and processes.
