UMB Bank Production Control Analyst in Kansas City, Missouri

What You'll Do:

Coordinate and maintain day-to-day processing and file transmission schedules ensuring standards, schedules, and service levels are maintained.

-Provide input and recommendations regarding processing and file transfer schedules and improvements.

-Analyze and resolve user requests.

-Analyze problem and provide solution, communicating status to management, business units or customers when appropriate.

-Oversee the administration of different process scheduling tools and/or file transfer facilities and their associated processes.

-Coordinate and performs the day-to-day tasks, including all process scheduling and file transfer activities for both mainframe and distributed processing environments.

-Participate in planning, maintenance, and execution of Disaster Recovery exercises.

-Interface with others in IT and Business Units.

-Provide support and technical consultation to business units and other IT departments when assigned.

-Follows all physical and logical security policies and procedures.

-Must be available via company cell-phone (or equivalent) or email as an escalation point 24x7.

-Other duties as assigned.

In this Role, You will Need:

-Demonstrates working knowledge of automated job scheduling in a mainframe and distributed processing environment, including the understanding of different and complex scheduling workflows

-Demonstrates working knowledge of file transfer methodologies (i.e. Connect:Direct, CyberFusion, FTP, etc) in both mainframe and distributed environments (UNIX, Windows)

-Demonstrates understanding & knowledge of JCL coding techniques in an IBM mainframe processing environment

-Demonstrates technical and non-technical problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to conceptualize, plan, develop and deliver solutions

-Demonstrates good ability to field problems to identify and resolve file transfer or job scheduling issues

-Demonstrates working knowledge of Change Management processes

-Demonstrates understanding & knowledge of Business Disaster Recovery process in the role of job and file transfer scheduling/coordination

-Demonstrates good written and interpersonal communications skills

-Demonstrates good Microsoft Office skills (specifically: Excel & Word)

Who You Are:

-3 years Information Technology, mainframe operating environment and/or distributed processing environment work experience

-1 years work experience with batch job and file transfer schedules and administration in a large processing environment
