Our CernerWorks Tech Improvement team has a challenging opportunity for a Manager | Senior Security Architect. The Tech Improvement team applies our problem management process to client incidents, to optimize each of the technology stacks that are used in the client environments. The Tech Improvement team's overall mission is to be a trusted partner in providing the most reliable, highest performing and cost effective delivery of technology services for healthcare.
Our Senior Security Architects define the layers of security deployed to protect Cerner’s logical assets while collaborating with associates across Cerner to influence a “secure from the start” culture. They complete complex design, development and implementation of new and emerging technologies, platforms and services. Perform research and advise on an existing or emerging technology and associated services and processes. Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 6 years of Information Technology security work experience
Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
At least 5 years of WIN and Linux operating system experience
Splunk or Encase experience preferred
Experience with modern web development frameworks and technologies.
Experience with security scanning tools including Nessus and Nexpose
Solid understanding of Identity and access management (IAM) – the framework of security policies and technologies that limit and track the access of those in an organization to sensitive technology resources.
Familiarity with PCI, HIPAA, PHI, GDPR, NIST and other compliance and security frameworks
Demonstrated experience in assessing solution risk via design review
3+ years managing a security team
Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification (CISSP) is required
Must be willing to reside in Kansas City
