How will you make an impact?

The Market Intelligence & Insights Manager will utilize various information sources and research techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of market and competitor intelligence as well as customers' perceptions, behaviors, and preferences across brands, products, and channels. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and driven to discover impactful insights, delivering thoughtful recommendations through compelling presentations to ultimately influence business decisions and maximize business value.

What will you do?

  • Derive market insights, customer and competitor intelligence to inform all levels and business areas about market trends, business opportunities, and threats.

  • Synthesize and transform both internal/external, primary/secondary/syndicated research data into actionable insights and communicate recommendations across the organization to drive strategic decision making and mid- to long-range business planning.

  • Collaborate with other divisional Customer Insights leads and develop a market intelligence community to leverage expertise, knowledge and best practices.

  • Able to quickly understand patterns within a large quantity of data and to reference key characteristics using visualization techniques.

  • Facilitate and moderate brainstorming and data synthesis sessions to produce insights that address key business issues.

  • Identify and investigate new research methods and data sources to continually improve the value of Insights to the organization.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of different research and analytical frameworks.

  • Keep internal clients proactively informed on the progress of projects.

  • Plan, executive and analyze qualitative, quantitative, and secondary research studies utilizing a range of approaches to best support Brand, channel, and upstream and downstream business strategies.

How will you get here?


  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Market Research, or related fields.


  • 7+ years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Market Analysis, Market Insights, or Strategy Consulting.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the design, execution, and analysis of competitive intelligence, competitive strategy and business-to-business market research.

  • 1-3 years of experience directly helping marketing teams within the Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology space.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing secondary and primary research studies, utilizing databases, integrating and translating information into high-value planning insights.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience in knowledge management and data visualization highly desired.

  • Experience with a statistical or data analysis software desired.

  • Proven track record of consistently producing deliverables that are well-written and contain helpful information, providing solid and actionable recommendations.

  • Proven ability to synthesize lots of information and distill it into meaningful actionable insights.

  • Solid organization, project management, time management, and planning skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

  • Domestic and international travel 10% of the time or less.
