Description

We are looking for an individual who can perform as a relationship-centric partner; an individual that builds influence through fostering relationships and communication. Ensures the success of multiple functions or processes. Manages and develops team

members, including organizing and delegating work tasks, and provides career guidance. Provides oversight and direction to staff in fulfilling short- and long-term information technology strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple functions or processes.

  • Oversees technical project management, including system design, development, implementations, upgrades, and new enhancements.

  • Oversees functional area of responsibility to ensure adherence to published SLA’s.

  • Takes a leadership role in the technical design of solutions that best meet organizational needs.

  • Provides successful resolution for technical problems and business issues of high complexity.

  • Communicates and builds relationships with internal and external business partners.

  • Maintains vendor relations and clear communication paths for issue escalation; acts as point of escalation for production support issues.

  • Organizes, delegates, reviews and signs off on team members’ work.

  • Performs other responsibilities as needed.

  • Follows company policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others.

  • Manages staff members including recruiting and hiring, providing employee feedback, handling conflicts, creating/conducting performance reviews and long-range career planning.

  • Creates and manages work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.

  • Develops and manages project plans for upgrades, enhancements, or other system changes including ability to define, scope, estimate work and track implementation tasks to facilitate successful project completion

  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to seek input on project plans and to keep them informed on project timing and progress.

  • Manages project teams including business users, contractors, 3rd party partners / vendors and IT Specialists.

  • Acts as point of contact for problem escalations from IT Specialists

  • Assists with development and implementation of policies, processes and metrics needed to departmental targets and goals.

  • Ability to identify project resource gaps and process improvement opportunities, develop and execute plan for refinement

  • Team oriented approach to managing a hands-on technical team

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a must

  • Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

  • 4-6 years’ experience in progressive information technology roles, including previous supervisory experience

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects of moderate to complex scope

  • Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Use of Microsoft Excel and Project experience or equivalent project management desired

  • Technical project management experience

  • Scrum and Agile workflow experience a plus
