A Lead Architect is responsible for working with a community of business and technical leaders to define, maintain, and communicate the policies and practices needed to promote a healthy development and support environment across a wide set of financial service applications. Applicants should have a broad range of experience in various software languages, frameworks, and patterns; including, but not limited to contemporary web, API, business rule, and database frameworks/technologies. Applicants should have strong communication and leadership skills with the ability and desire to have positive impact on the organization by harnessing the energy and ideas of others to promote a stronger, more efficient environment.
Understanding the current system through research and modeling
Identifying and documenting the strategic business and technical reference architecture based on a deep understanding of the DST business objectives
Leading and participating in internal/external communities focused on the improvement of development and support
Managing the Knowledge Base of coding standards, guidelines, and best practices
Monitoring industry trends and providing guidance to the product, design, and development organization.
Establish overall architecture principles and provide oversight to project teams or other architects to ensure the enterprise vision is achieved.
Research and identify required architecture components and/or frameworks that may span multiple products or areas of technology and develop position statements on the most complex, functional architectural principles that have the highest impact and risk exposure to the organization.
Provide business and technical expertise on multiple areas of underlying environments and subject matters.
Gather and analyze technical and industry-related trends and evaluate technological advances and various third-party products and tools.
Ensure current technical assets are leveraged and set the architectural direction for future product offerings.
Create models and conduct feasibility, cost/benefit, and risk analyses to make recommendations that support long-term product maintainability, reliability, scalability, while achieving and promoting business objectives.
