Job Description:

Are you looking for an exciting new job with growth opportunities? Here within Cerner’s Strategic Growth organization, we are looking for our next Consultant to join our consulting team focusing on population health strategies on the VA and DoD projects! As a Consultant, you will be working with our federal clients to deliver consulting services. Our consulting services consist of working with clients on service line workflow and helping guide them through design decisions, providing solution oversite and expertise, as well as driving client-specific solution configuration to meet workflow requirements. Professional communication and client relationship building is key to this role. You will apply your in-depth client and solution knowledge while serving as the first escalation point to investigate and resolve routine/non-routine client problems and provide solution oversight, direction and expertise to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of software implementation work experience

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or Business, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of health care information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or support work experience

  • At least 3 years of client relationship building experience

  • At least 3 years of revenue cycle experience

  • At least 3 years of government consultant experience


  • Willing to travel up to 80% of the time if needed

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to a virtually approved city

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
