The Public Relations, Creative Solutions & Brand Marketing Communications Group is responsible for achieving greater synergies between the marketing functions that create, reinforce and strengthen the Commerce brand. The Graphic Designers support the in-house Creative Solutions Group’s creative output of assigned print and digital projects in support of Commerce strategies and business goals for Commerce Bank SPUs and internal support teams. An understanding of typography, layout, and art design is required. Must be fluent in all industry-standard graphic design applications and workflow management systems and experience supporting brand style governance, consistency and amplification strategies is preferred. Should be capable of working on multiple projects at once, collaborating in a team environment, and interacting directly with stakeholders.Representative Duties:• Creation of visual design solutions, from concept to completion, in print or digital platforms using a wide range of graphic applications for internal and external communications programs and projects including the development, revisions and production of creative output.• Ensures creative output meets the business requirements, message and functions successfully for brand, technical and performance specifications; ensures that all brand guidelines, internal and external quality standards are met for each assignment• Communicates and coordinates with the client, becomes familiar with project assignments, develops initial creative concepts and expands on them through internal and client-based feedback throughout the production process• Assists in general graphic production, including scanning, proofing, and archiving project files/documents to Digital Asset Manager • Manages assignments and time while working on multiple projects at once, being aware of priorities and deadlines; ensures all assigned projects are completed in a cost-efficient manner by the assigned deadline• Actively participates in creative meetings and shares ideas• Additional duties as assigned by the Creative Solutions Manager to support team, client and corporate marketing priorities.Core Competencies:• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the principles of design as shown in portfolio/work• Adeptness with Adobe Creative Cloud with thorough aptitude of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat; AfterEffects or motion graphics experience, a plus• Solid understanding of project management; Workfront experience, a plus• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs• Strong written and verbal communication skills• The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, to see projects through from inception to production, displays consistency regardless of project size• Capability to creatively solve problems within brand guidelines; the motivation to maintain and improve design standards• Willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve• Ability to work full time in an Agile, collaborative team environmentWork Hours:Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMQualifications:Education: BFA or BA degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communication or similarly related-fieldWork Experience: 3+ years professional experience in graphic design related-field with financial services marketing experience preferredAdditional Skills: • Leads and contributes to projects as assigned with moderate oversight• Liaison with clients or specific marketing partners to support their goals and determine solutions in a proactive manner• Present designs and the thought process behind them to Creative Solutions Manager and/or clients
