Children''s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics Desktop Administrator in Kansas City, Missouri

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop related issues, including but not limited to:

  • Installation of end-user hardware

  • Software

  • Diagnostic testing

  • Utilization of remote control tools to take over a desktop machine for the purpose of troubleshooting and finding solutions to problems

  • Mentor and support the Helpdesk Technician

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree

  • 2 or more years prior experience in the same job could be accepted in lieu of a degree

  • 1 year experience

  • A+ certification preferred

  • N+ certification preferred

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred

  • Helpdesk International (HDI) certification preferred

  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) (Windows or Office) preferred

  • Operating systems imaging and deployment

  • Application installation and configuration

  • Basic understanding of user and group permissions and how they work

  • Ability to think critically to solve problems on the fly with minimal supervision

  • Hardware break-fix

  • Ability to build a computer from common components
