Responsibilities

Logistics & Facilities Coordinator

  • Operates and maintains the logistics processes and facilities infrastructure in support of an on-prem hosting data center (Iaas/Paas) and hybrid cloud capabilities

  • Responsible for direct support and execution of Logistics activities on behalf of the government lead for logistics as well as the government equipment reporting official (RO)

  • Coordinates Logistics and Facilities work among the logistics and facilities staff members and deconflicts taskings, with assistance of the contract Program Manager, when competing priorities arise

  • With logistics coordinator, responsible for executing all logistics and equipment accountability activities in support of the HCS mission

  • With Facilities Coordinator, responsible for executing all facilities infrastructure requirements in support of an on-prem hosting data center

  • Ensures operational datacenter UPS, Battery, power systems and environmental control systems

  • Monitors, triages, assigns, troubleshoots and resolves all logistics work assigned through the USMC work management processes and tasks assigned by government leads

  • Responsible for the management, execution and reporting of a multi-site Data Center Operational Sustainment and Lifecycle Sustainment Plan in coordination with the Facilities coordinator.

  • Collects, tracks, analyzes, and reports on vendor/supplier service and product performance against established thresholds and objectives. Responsible for the tracking, logging, analyzing and reporting of vendor/supplier maintenance activities for validation, compliance and improvement opportunities.

  • Receives, validates, labels and readies hardware for Data Center inclusion and disposal, executing approved sanitization, destruction and DMRO actions and preparations. Supports RO actions for receiving, inventory, and disposal of data center hardware

  • Creates, relates, links, publishes, tracks and reports on Data Center underpinning warranty and support contracts ensuring accuracy of data and completeness of coverage is maintained throughout the logistics lifecycle.

  • Establish, maintain, execute and report on a comprehensive Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) process ensuring Data Center assets and equipment are continually assessed for DMSMS and obsolescence.

  • Maintains Data Center lifecycle logistics data within Enterprise and Data Center Registry/ITSM tool suites.

  • Initiate, prepare and execute vendor/supplier RMA in accordance with OEM and Data Center CM processes and procedures.

  • Maintain critical equipment inventory in support of HCS operations including updating enterprise tracking and requesting government procurement/purchase of assets in a timely manner

  • Supports and backfills the Facilities Management Coordinator role including support to all facilities management activities. Uses Enterprise ITSM Suite (Remedy) to track and manage all workload

Qualifications

Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.

DOD Secret Clearance, US Citizen

IAT I Required (A+ preferred),

IAT II desired(or equivalent networking/security experience)

Project Management/Agile experience or certification desired

Experience:

  • Basic understanding and experience with networking, electrical principals, server operations

  • Datacenter logistics and facilities management

  • DOD or USMC logistics mgmt/equipment responsible official experience

  • Vendor support interaction for managing maintenance repair and facilities maintenance activities

  • Facilities infrastructure operations, testing, and maintenance

  • Agile, ITIL and/or DevSecOps experience

  • BMC Remedy (or similar ITSM tool)

  • Excel, Sharepoint user experience

  • Process management/engineering

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with the following supported technologies:

  • On-Prem hosting data center

  • HP and Dell virtualization hardware

  • Cat5 and Fiber cable infrastructure

  • Schneider Electric rack monitoring systems

  • Facility UPS

  • Battery Backup

  • Datacenter Environmental controls

  • BMC Remedy ITSM (ticketing) system

  • Sharepoint-based document and workflow management
