Job Description:
Cerner's Health Network Realization organization is growing and looking for a Data Strategist to join the team! As a Data Strategist, you will focus on data strategy and information management. You will design, plan and oversee data and integration activities while utilizing cloud-based technologies at our client sites. In this role, you are will need to understand payer claims and enrollment data standards and layouts. You are responsible for understanding and analyzing claims data and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to reconcile payer data to contract metrics (membership, claims, utilization, cost, risk adjustment, etc.). You will lead new claims data evaluation efforts while developing standards & processes for claims data assessment to help scale data expansion initiatives. Other responsibilities include: developing cross payer relationships to capture payer specific metrics and data standards and maintaining data quality by continually monitoring incoming data and communicate data deficiencies and anomalies to internal & external stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 5 years of work experience in health care operations management
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of experience working with healthcare claims data
At least 3 years of experience with a Payer, Population Health Service Organization, Accountable Care Organization, Population Health Consulting or IT firm
At least 3 years of SQL experience
Basic knowledge of the claims processing life cycle, insurance industry, and at-risk contract management
Expectations
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Must currently reside in or being willing to relocate to the Kansas City, MO
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
