What You'll Do:
Responsible overall IT equipment and supporting infrastructure management within the data center environment.
Responsible for power redundancy allocations/assignments within data center environment.
Responsible for record keeping of equipment installed within the data center environments, including, but not limited to asset management, electrical redundancies, and cable management.
Point of contact to assist technical support teams with problem analysis and resolution involving equipment installed within the data center environments.
Provide input and recommendations in support of the data center environments associated with business continuity and improvements to operations of systems and processes.
Review, recommend, and implement appropriate procedures or protocols to ensure data center operational efficiencies.
Participates in the planning, implementation, and documentation of new processes and/or equipment associated with the Data Center environments.
Assist Asset Management with receiving and disposal of IT equipment.
Assist Manager of department in the maintenance of the department(s) Disaster Recovery procedures ensuring accuracy.
Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures related to task or activities performed within the data center environment.
Adhere to and enforce established change management procedures and protocols relative to data center operations.
Adhere to and enforce established asset management procedures and protocols relative to data center environments.
Adhere to and enforce established physical security procedures and protocols relative to data center environments.
Other duties as assigned.
In this Role, You will Need:
Understanding of Data Center infrastructures - UPS, generators, HVAC, cable management, fire suppression, physical security, etc.
Working knowledge/understanding of server, storage, and network operating environments.
Proven understanding of data center structured network cabling using industry standard products typical to a data center.
Working knowledge and ability to make and repair to industry standard category 5/6 network cables.
Knowledge of and proven skills using various copper and fiber testing equipment.
Self-motivated individual with the capability to act as team leader related to data center activities.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Demonstrated ability to function independently and make quick decisions.
Knowledge and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
Good working experience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, IE) and Microsoft Visio.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and communications skills.
Good written and verbal communications skills.

Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or relevant education and/or work experience equivalent.
2 years working experience within an IT infrastructure technology environment.
