UMB Bank App Support Specialist II in Kansas City, Missouri
What You'll Do:
Provide general technical application support and create solutions across a broad range of products. This will include working incident tickets, monitoring systems performance and assisting with or applying application fixes/upgrades. With minimal assistance, troubleshoot, triage and resolve problems and incidents on production applications. Act as a single point of contact for incidents to coordinate issue resolution working with applications teams, vendors, business units, and varied departments. Analyze and measure problem and incident data to identify underlying and systemic problems. Implement solutions to resolve current incidents and reduce or eliminate future incidents. Manage post-mortem analysis process for high priority incidents and problems. Document resolutions to allow for reuse processes, trending and categorization of issues. Work closely with users, application teams and management to develop and implement process improvements that aid in the reduction in problem tickets and increase in system performance. Work with project teams to facilitate support turnover after warranty period. Other duties as assigned.
In this Role, You will Need:
-Basic ability to field incoming problem tickets to identify and resolve application and software issues
-Logical with strong analytical skills, experience performing and coordinating root cause analysis and trend analysis
-Effectively manage a variety of projects and incidents simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
-Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent listening skills required
-Ability to interact with all business and technical areas and skill levels regarding technical and business issues
-Experience with creating process, procedures, and documentation relating to incident management or systems operations
-Demonstrated knowledge in support and set up of data transmissions to include one or more of the following data transmission types: FTP, NDM or Cyberfusion
-Ability to work with vendor application packages and configurations

Who You Are:
-3 years of experience in a technical role supporting MIS infrastructure and/or applications
-Technically proficient with more than 1 (IBM Mainframe COBOL, Java, DB2, VSAM data sets, JCL, CHANGEMAN, TSO/ISPF, ZEKE, Insych, Tracemaster, Dumpmaster & RDS) of the technologies used at UMB
-Experienced user with Microsoft Office package
