To achieve our results, we recruit the best and brightest employees who ask, listen and solve to meet our customers’ needs!The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) On-boarding Advisor reports to and works with limited direction from the Manager of Operational Risk Management and will be responsible for coordinating the Bank’s efforts to conduct an efficient on-boarding process for new third party services. This role focuses on providing guidance during RFP/RFIs to business groups as well as conducting vendor due diligence and risk assessment activities prior to contracting work. The advisor will leverage strong working relationships with business line management, various risk groups, contracting attorneys and TPRM Monitoring analysts to develop appropriate risk based monitoring plans. Those plans will then be provided to business groups and the TPRM Monitoring analyst for ongoing execution.DUTIES:• Provide risk guidance in new sourcing and selection activities for third party services• Develop and support completion of evaluation scorecards• Coordinate necessary due diligence efforts across multiple risk groups prior to contracting• Develop appropriate ongoing monitoring plans for business groups and TPRM monitoring staff to perform after contracting• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business groups to understand products and strategy• Conduct training to business groups as neededWork Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)WORK EXPERIENCE:Required: • 3 to 5 years of Third Party or Operational Risk or Procurement experience• 1 to 3 years of financial institution backgroundPreferred:• 5 to 7 years of financial institution background• 1 to 3 years in business process managementEDUCATION:Required:• College degree with an emphasis in Business, Accounting or FinancePreferred:• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting• Professional certification in a related field of risk management TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:• Solid understanding of enterprise risk and appetite• Ability to identify important issues and escalate them appropriately to senior management along with recommendations for how to mitigate risks• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio• Familiarity with databases and ability to use query tools for analysis and report creation• Ability to draw insightful conclusions and organize findings in communicable waysCOMMUNICATION SKILLS: • Excellent reading, writing and speaking skills• Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization• Ability to communicate technical information/concepts to non-technical audiences ANALYTICAL SKILLS: • High – Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills requiredPROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS: • Ability to establish and meet deadlines consistently• Strong meeting management skills that include scheduling, agenda planning, and decision summariesCORE COMPETENCIES:• Critical reasoning / decision making and escalation skills• Business acumen• Adaptability• Comfortable with ambiguity• Build strong relationships to perform responsibilities adequately and in a timely manner
