As a System Integration Engineer you will be tasked to develop/implement reliable, secure, and repeatable integration solutions among PLC, data historians, vibration monitoring, analysis systems and ICS/DCSS/CS – using technologies including, but not limited to OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, and XML.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Install, configure, troubleshoot thin client application solutions
Analyze, quantify, and report security vulnerability risks
Design and implement secure integration solutions that meet customers’ expectations
Measure integration solutions’ effectiveness and performance from customers’ perspective
Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices and translate these factors into product solutions and services
Provide system integration and digital security support to regional service teams (for applications such as Fleet, SmartSignal, Meridium, and future Predix solutions)
Provide commercial and technical support to regional ITO and OTR teams
Provide input/feedback/review to Technology regarding new and existing hardware and software products
Install and maintain field sensor and monitor systems in industrial settings
Other duties as required by business
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
Basic understanding of TCP/IP network security and design
Basic understanding of the systems development lifecycle
Computer/Server Hardware knowledge (currently HP & Dell)
Basic electronics and troubleshooting knowledge and skills (AC and DC low voltage theory)
Customer service mindset
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to travel up to 80% time
Availability to travel on short notice
Experience in the application and adherence of Industrial, Automation, and Control System Cyber Security standards
System Audit Knowledge
Current knowledge of best practices regarding SCADA implementation and security
Basic understanding of DCS, ICSS, SCADA systems communications.
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) certified
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
