Job Summary

This position will be responsible for developing, marketing and governing our enterprise-wide data strategy and execution in order to drive business decisions and growth. This role will oversee data utilization and monetization while driving innovation that creates value for the organization through data. You will work closely with stakeholders across the company to expand our data assets and build solutions to make business data more accessible and consumable.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading efforts towards data management, data governance, data visualization, data operations and overall data maturity of the organization. The successful candidate will have expertise with technologies and concepts relevant to data such as data management, data lakes, statistical analytics, predictive analytics, data quality and data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, market and execute an integrated data strategy and actionable data roadmap for the company in line with digital strategy

  • Closely interact with senior business and technical management teams to ensure data concerns and priorities are addressed to achieve business objectives

  • Develop, market and sell a comprehensive catalog of data services to business stakeholders

  • Translate business strategies into data solutions, justifying and selling those strategies and then managing implementations and ongoing use

  • Create and continually update 3-5 year outlook on industry, data, technology evolution and strategy

  • Champion efforts to democratize access to high quality data for business analysis and decisions

  • Lead ongoing growth, design, and expansion of a high-quality data platform from across a wide variety of data sources and support an array of operational and analytical decision points

  • Responsible for overall data creation and standardization strategy, including intake, business rules-based transformations, and data governance in accordance with the company's business goals and objectives

  • Roll out enterprise-wide data quality and governance framework, with a focus on policies, principles and standards, and governance metrics

  • Facilitate development of data standards and adoption requirements

  • Evaluate, analyze and recommend best-fit data solution for business requirements striking the right balance between cost, time to market and outcomes

  • Monitor and promotes best practices related to information asset management

  • Identify, market and sell new business optimization and transformation opportunities through the analysis of data

  • Provide support to technology organization relating to data management and analytics

  • Identify data and technology needs for digital investment projects and create project plans to execute and support the business strategy

  • Lead efforts to monitor, maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure, software and assets

  • Establish and maintain strategic working relationships with senior business leaders, outside companies and software vendors

  • Lead efforts for applied use of machine learning to drive process optimization and transformation • Implement mechanisms to enforce and support data privacy and data protection regulations

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience

  • 7 to 10 years' experience in a senior-level data management role

  • Actively seeks new technology options and approaches to business challenges

  • Drives passion and develops a following for change

  • Experience in building and managing high performing teams

  • Experience in managing data projects and programs

  • Experience justifying need for data investments to IT and business leaders

  • Highly motivated, experienced innovator who has produced tangible results

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed to collaborate, negotiate and influence effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
