Develop subsystems for Boeing Flight Trainers such as the Instructor/Operator Station, Brief/Debrief Station, Synthetic Environments, and core building block technologies used for all our flight trainers (graphics, video, networking, mission planning, exercise management & control).

Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft - everything from F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters, P-8 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft, T-7A Advanced Pilot Training System and even NASA's new Starliner spacecraft.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in developing simulation software
Must have experience with Agile/Scrum
1+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Development in C++
Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

We work with a diverse set of technologies, but most of all we value engineers who are eager to learn new ways to deliver value to our users. Some examples of the technologies we currently use include (but are by no means limited to):
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
More than 1 year of experience in any of the following areas: maintaining, updating, modifying, designing commercial or military aircraft flight simulation training devices, aircraft flight deck or aircraft avionics.
2+ years of experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.) and agile project management tools (JIRA, TFS, VersionOne, etc.
We seek out engineers who have shipped products in multiple technology stacks, but we'd also consider experience in other technologies (for example .NET or Java), if you can couple that with recent experience writing production code in some of the above-mentioned tech
Prefer Computer Science, Computer Engineering
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+0 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
