The Boeing Company Lead Systems Engineer and Architect in Hazelwood, Missouri
Autonomous Systems, located in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an ATS Systems Engineer to lead the system design and architecture definition of several new autonomous aviation systems and configurations. This position will use Model Based Systems Engineering to develop and oversee the high level system design and system requirements development for new configurations and modifications to existing devices.
Leading the activities of system architecture research and design, system requirements management, system design development, and complex system integration.
Will leverage existing technologies, resolve cross-functional issues, and support the successful implementation and execution of the requirements, design, integration and test activities.
Will be involved in frequent interaction with end users and customer partners and will require occasional travel to installation sites, suppliers, and other Boeing facilities.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
Architecture and/or design experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in development of systems architecture and design, integration of simulated systems, and experience with autonomous systems.
Engineering experience using Boeing standard tools to include CAMEO, ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, AFSIM, BORIS, Windchill, Phoenix Model Center and other common tools.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+5 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
