Communication Systems Engineer, Hazelwood, MO
As a Communications Systems Engineer (Level 4 ) in the Boeing Autonomous Systems organization, you will help to architect, integrate, and test state-of-the-art, military communication systems for autonomous aircraft. You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with multiple domestic customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Serving as a communication system domain expert for implementation of communication architectures that meet use case requirements. RF, Waveforms, Protocols, Low Probability of Detection, data link technology evaluation
Requirement development, allocation and analysis
Performance analysis
Developing or coordinating performance and link budgets
Waveform evaluation and/or characterization
Performing trade studies
Supporting integration and test of communication equipment
Coordination and supervision of communication subsystem vendor design efforts.
Coordination of communication
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
5+ years' experience with military communications equipment and/or datalinks (radio frequency (RF), modems, wireless, and advanced communications systems)
Knowledgeable about military waveforms and interoperability
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Knowledgeable regarding considerations for communication System integration
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
