Combat Developer

Performs duties as a Combat Developer with an emphasis on Live Prototype Experimentation Support. Key job attributes include supporting the Maneuver Support Battle Lab (MSBL) by designing and supporting future experimentation and analysis venues to enable current, modular, and future warfare concepts. The analyst uses scenarios containing multiple potential logistical lines of investigation spanning the range of military operations to develop scenario dilemmas at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels of conflict, throughout the joint phases of operation examining Army and Joint concepts and ideas. Job tasks include:

  • Performing event coordination functions;

  • Conducting detailed literature reviews;

  • Conducting DOTMLPF domain research;

  • Preparing information and issue papers;

  • Staffing internal and external experimentation documents;

  • Collecting data from live experiments;

  • Analyzing collected data;

  • Preparing briefings and experimentation related presentations;

  • Attending and participating in meetings, conferences and working sessions;

  • Evaluating outcomes and lessons learned to provide insights.

Education/Training –

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

  • Superior writing and analytical skills

Experience –

  • Combat Developer’s Course or experience (preferred)

  • 15 years’ experience as a CBRN, Engineer or Military Police Officer or Senior NCO (required)

Job Requirements –

  • Current Defense Security Service issued SECRET clearance
