Service Desk level 1

job summary:

Our St. Louis client is seeking Level 1 Service Desk support.

Must have basic skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, Citrix virtual desktops, Active Directory, VPN, iOS and Android, and both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Must be able to think critically to identify root causes of issues and communicate effectively with end-users. Serves as contact center agent primarily communicates with internal employees/customers via telephone; some email, chat and walk-ins

responsibilities:

  • End-user remote desktop support will identify and repair IT systems for internal employees.

  • Must be able to create a positive and lasting experience with customers. Must be able to think critically to identify root causes of issues and communicate effectively with end-users. Serves as contact center agent primarily communicates with customers via telephone; some email, chat and walk-ins. Able to interpret company IT strategic plans and formulate decisions that align with strategic goals. Works with others in the department to perform routine issue resolution. Has basic knowledge of information systems and network infrastructure with the ability to identify issues and escalate to the appropriate support group. Has basic skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, Citrix virtual desktops, Active Directory, VPN, iOS and Android, and both Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • General end-user assistance and after-hours IT support. Scheduled rotation of after-hours on-call support for customers. Provide general end-user assistance for software installation, problem resolution, cyber security reporting (phishing attempts), and other duties as required.
