Our Maritz Sales Performance business unit is growing and needs a Sr. Consultant to establish a Sales Incentives Program that will drive the professional services of our solutions. You will be at the vanguard of the application of behavioral science to real-word challenges faced by some of the world’s largest and most interesting companies.

You will primarily be responsible for designing, developing and managing successful solutions, models and frameworks that leverage behavioral science and analytics. These solutions typically include, but are not limited to, behavioral data reporting and analytics, incentive program design, flexible technology and tailored rewards experiences in support of client objectives related to boosting sales performance and market share. You will serve as subject matter expert and thought leader in the business unit and to the marketplace in support of marketing, communication and sales in the Sales Performance space.

Other responsibilities:

  • This role is client facing and requires a solid understanding of the client business goals and issues, an understanding of the solution technology and the application of best practices to drive effective performance improvement programs.

  • Develop and execute solution strategy, with a focus on participant behavioral outcomes.

  • Will be a member of the functional leadership team of the Maritz Sales Performance business unit.

  • Contribute to Maritz’ thought leadership in the areas of behavioral science as it relates to improved sales productivity through blogs, e-books, white papers, speaking engagements and social media.

  • Create and/or review and approve service deliverables prior to client delivery.

  • Develop strategic services solutions across key areas. Work with appropriate internal resources and teams to deliver defined services. Develop appropriate models in alignment & partnership with Maritz Behavioral Science and Innovation (BSI) and other Maritz thought-leaders who represent a differentiated point-of-view in the marketplace and are extended to scalable, repeatable service engagements that deliver value to clients.

  • Participate in Maritz’ new business development efforts. Develop client-specific, appropriate solutions that match Maritz’ capabilities with each client’s goals/objectives.

  • Provide insight and help deliver strategic business reviews for clients as standard strategic account reviews/results.


  • PhD or Master’s degree in economics, psychology or other behavioral science related field. MBA will be considered with Bachelor’s degree in the fields stated above or significant work experience in the field of behavioral science.

  • Experience in a consulting environment highly preferred.

  • Experience managing people or the willingness to do so.

  • Understanding of the application of data science to solving complex business problems.

  • Demonstrated curiosity in human decision-making, consultative approach to work, and experience running experiments/pilots in a business context. Documented success with developing a business strategy and managing services delivery.

  • Exceptional client facing communication skills including experience presenting to the C-Suite.

  • Adept at critical and creative thinking.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present/speak in public settings.

  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute in a team environment.

  • The position will require periodic travel. (up to 25%)
