Job DescriptionThe Mortgage Quantitative Solutions Support Manager will be responsible for implementation and process automation of quantitative models, methods, and systems to support U.S. Bank Home Mortgage’s Finance and Capital Markets function. The individual will lead and manage a small team to deploy, govern, manage, and maintain platforms and tools developed internally, and externally, to allow stakeholders to perform their jobs better, faster, easier, and cheaper. The ideal candidate will have experience and in-depth knowledge of the mortgage finance industry with a focus on mortgage servicing rights, fixed-income derivatives, term-structure modeling, consumer behavioral modeling (prepayment/delinquency/default), and numerical methods, as well as a deep understanding and experience of and with the systems and technologies that form the foundation of analysis in these subject matter areas.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as econometrics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience - Eight or more years of statistics or analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience - Leadership experience attracting, inspiring, and developing diverse and high-performing technical teams; - Strong mortgage finance experience and familiarity with analytical challenges and approaches unique to mortgage capital markets; - Expertise in process automation tools including Python, SQL Server, GIT, and Jenkins; - Experience with quant development tools including R, SAS, Matlab, Numerix, and C/C++; - Proven success communicating with partners and senior management - Demonstrated successful project management skills and experience navigating within a large organization
