In today’s healthcare environment, the Primary Care Physician (PCP) is looked to as the “quarterback of care” who coordinates all aspects of a patient’s care plan. To be successful in this role the PCP must have visibility to any treatment or care the patient seeks outside of the PCP’s practice. This is especially important when the provider is engaged with the payer in a shared savings arrangement. Admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) reports are one important way for the PCP to gain better visibility into care and treatment his patients may be receiving that would otherwise be outside his purview. This position will be responsible for establishing the development and

enhancement of data acquisition and reporting solutions. Initial focus will be on an admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) data acquisition and reporting solution.

Responsible for coordinating and consolidating various impact analyses for management reporting.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishes, improves, and optimizes the consolidating processes for forecast and month-end results.

  • Consolidates and prepares executive summary reports for various business segments in the SBU for top management decision-making.

  • Analyzes and designs solutions to address varied and highly complex business needs. May collaborate with businesses and technical areas to implement new or enhanced products.

  • May require strong knowledge of products as well as our internal business models and data systems.

  • May coordinate with external audits as appropriate. Acts as the central contact with internal departments and external auditors.

  • Works independently.

  • Draws up a plan to address issues/concerns.

  • Works side by side with their manager.

Requires a BS/BA degree in Statistics, Economics, or Business Administration; 12+ years of relevant experience; or any combination of education and experience,which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience providing leadership in evaluating financial performance of complex organizations required.

Excellent leadership, problem solving, organizational, planning, presentation and interpersonal skills.

This job is focused on identifying solutions to business problems and needs, very knowledgeable across products, more customer facing in recommending solutions, expert in data analysis, extremely independent, more interpretation of what is required by the business as compared to the Bus Info Consultant job.

Primary Duties

  • Performs market and competitive analysis

  • Engages provider technical teams and Anthem technical teams

  • Collects business requirements for data acquisition and reporting systems

  • Writes High Level Business Requirements documents

  • Generates business case and ROI analysis

  • Initiates business solution development through the Anthem Wave process

  • As the business owner, work with other business partners to guide and support solution development, pilot and solution launch activities

  • Develops solution roadmaps


  • BS/BA

  • 12 years of healthcare experience

  • Experience with healthcare data acquisition solutions

  • Experience with healthcare reporting solutions

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
