Oracle Technical Project Manager in Chesterfield, Missouri

As a recognized authority and leading contributor, this project management professional, provides consistent innovative and high quality solution leadership. Responsible for guiding the successful implementation of non-routine and complex business solutions ensuring high quality and timely delivery within budget to the customeris satisfaction.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracleis solution meets the customeris objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracleis methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracleis risk and exposure. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for effective project delivery on small to medium engagements. Provides direction and mentoring to project team. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of medium sized projects including the recovery of remedial projects.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position. Prior project team leadership or management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Selling skills preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Our team focuses on North American based clients using our back office cloud applications. Our resources are primarily located in North America and India. The role of the Technical Project Manager (TPM) requires an experienced project management professional with strong business acumen, technical competency in SaaS-based software and leadership skills for successful delivery of Oracle Marketing Cloud digital marketing solutions (software services).

The TPM works closely with Oracle Marketing Cloud Digital Services delivery teams, Solution Architects, Sales, Customer Success Managers, and Services Operations to ensure customer technology deployments & projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to the project plan scope. The TPM will also identify and mitigate any risks throughout the project(s) s/he manages.

The TPM must be able to manage cross-functional teams from different Oracle departments and demonstrate diplomacy and the ability to manage demanding customers. They must demonstrate leadership and motivational skills and mentor other members of the PMO. The TPM actively contributes to continuous PMO process improvements and publishes contributions to the knowledge base.

Specifically, s/he will be responsible for deliverables at every phase of the software implementation lifecycle such as:

  1. Works under the supervision of the PMO Director in cross-pillar solution deployment projects (campaign, creative, technical services, strategy, expert services) involving single or multiple work streams.

  2. Understands customer requirements and helps translate them into project deliverables and milestones.

  3. Responsible for project governance, stewardship, financial management and project planning.

  4. Owns the creation and updating of relevant project documentation including:

  • Customer Project Plan

  • Change Management Process

  • Risk Mitigation Plan

  • Project Budget

  • Project Status Reporting (Core team and Steering Committee levels)

  • Project Schedules & Meeting Logistics

  1. Manages successful project closure and executes the hand-off processes and communication.

Skills

  • 7 years of Program/Project Management experience in delivering SaaS-based solutions preferably in Digital Marketing, Customer Experience, CRM, ERP, and/or Advertising

  • Formal Program/Project Management training & certification required or in pursuit of CAPM/PMP certification.

  • Understanding of project financial and budgetary principals.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field a plus.

  • Working knowledge of the Oracle Marketing Cloud platform with familiarity of other digital marketing platforms & customer experience cloud-based solutions.

  • Functionally astute in using project management software (MS project, Excel, Visio) other analytical and statistical software packages and tools.
