Working as an integral part of the Company commercial team, the Analyst will work on a variety of optimization, risk management, and capital expenditure projects. These projects will be both financial optimizing expected return/risk ratio under uncertainty and physical e.g. optimizing transportation network.Core Functions: - Formulate mathematical models of commercial processes for optimization or simulation - Collaborate with commercial team members to understand decision making processes, including identifying objectives and feasible alternatives - Collaborate with research and business intelligence teams to collect relevant internal and external data - Prepare reports to management recommending actions based on model results. Identify tradeoffs between alternatives and risks to recommendations under different scenarios - Validate models using historical data and identify any limitations to models - Develop systems to automate data collection and reporting from both internal and external sources - Work with commercial team to create metrics to track and improve performance. Automate processes to report metrics to relevant commercial team membersSkill/Experience Requirements: - Bachelor s or Master s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics - Two to four years of commercial experience in the commodities industry - Experience creating mathematical models for optimization and simulation. Experience with stochastic optimization methods preferred - Knowledge of commodity markets preferred, but not required - Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think analytically and learn quickly - Self-starter and detail oriented - Experience in achieving results in a fast-paced environment - Strong oral communication skills and have the ability to develop rapport and credibility with relevant trading, research, and management groups in a complex international organization - Ability to clearly present findings to management and create understanding of tradeoffs and risks to alternative decisions - Highly developed skills in Excel, Tableau, databases Access, Oracle, and at least one statistical package preferably in R or Python - Ability to multi task in a time constrained and fast paced environmentCompany is an Equal Opportunity EmployerBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
