Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are seeking a Director of Program Management to work with the product management and engineering teams to deliver a quality products on time. You will work on the strategy and efforts to scale, automate, and create efficiencies throughout the engineering organization. This is a fast-paced team that is innovating and delivering services in a cloud-native environment. OIC is central to multiple businesses within Oracle, and cross-organizational collaboration is common. We are looking for a leader that can thrive in this environment and contribute a predictable delivery model across multiple different programs. You have a proven track record driving process improvement throughout an organization and the ability to lead execution while the product suite is growing and evolving.
Work with teams and Technical Program Management leadership on software planning and delivery processes. Contribute to the definition and continuous process improvements of the execution frameworks used across teams.
Work with a team of program managers who work across different product areas.
Work with teams and TPM leadership on creating scalable methods, best practices, and relevant KPIs. Develop and mentor team members.
Contribute to the improvement of reporting mechanisms and tools that are scalable and consistent across the organization.
Foresee dependencies, risks, and issues and work with teams to minimize possible impact and to deliver high quality.
Work on cross-company collaboration initiatives.
Get involved in anything that will help the organization thrive (whether a big project or a small task).
10 years in technical program management for Cloud, SaaS, or software applications for an enterprise software company
Experience in managing large, cross-company, complex projects with multi-function teams is preferred.
Experience working with and communicating program status to engineering leadership.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
Proven experience taking large releases/programs from planning to launch
Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Excellent presentation and written communication.
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
