Project manages diverse portfolio of corporate event types ( seminars, executive roundtables, sponsorships) with specific teams mapped as event type specialists. Drives alignment of messaging and overall strategy; helps to ensure that the right event is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Drives creative thought process and continuous evaluation and refinement of Oracle's event marketing portfolio. Provides management with reports and analysis on program efficacy for future program selection and budget allocation. Provides effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in area of event production and design. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable.

Senior Manager, Analytics and Insights, Global Events
The Global Events team is seeking a talented Senior Manager of Analytics & Insights to join our team to lead and build our analytics & insights strategy and programs and to support strategic team initiatives and processes to drive collaboration, efficiency and trusted partnerships across key internal partners for scale, growth and impact.
About the Role
As the Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights, Global Events, you will be responsible for designing and building, from the ground up, the Global Events data gathering, analytics, reporting and insights generation strategy. The scope includes the full event lifecycle across paid, owned, earned and shared channels, including demand generation data, audience profiling, registration and attendee data, alignment with target accounts, attendee feedback, and post-event data.
You will build and leverage trusted partnerships with other Oracle teams. Working alongside Oracle MarTech, Business Intelligence, and other teams, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver self-service and automated reporting about events and team KPIs. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, define and deliver key insights from our audience acquisition activities that will be used to guide and optimize our future event portfolio programs and investments.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player, problem-solver, and idea-generator with a good understanding of Business Intelligence tools, analytics platforms, demand generation data sources, AdTech and other marketing data sources as well as performance reporting needs.
You have a passion for data-driven analysis, can see both the forest and the trees and are capable of leading a global, cross-functional virtual team while being an active hands-on contributor. You are good at taking numerous data sources and building effective, succinct dashboards for stakeholders that show KPIs, metrics for event-generated awareness, leads, pipeline and strategic insights.

Build the Global Events Analytics & Insights function – a new team function – in less than 90 days
Your efforts deliver advanced insights to help event leads achieve their objectives; coach Global Events team at large on analytics and process rigor
Define a roadmap for integrated events analytics and insights, delivering on end-to-end event ROI visibility
Lead event data and analytics strategic direction and innovations
Establish a holistic global measurement framework; ensure target-setting into planning process
Build a comprehensive, integrated data model, taxonomy and attribution
Own the design, delivery and review cadence of integrated dashboards of forecast vs performance vs business goals for multiple levels: executive leadership, global event leads, marketing teams’ full-funnel campaign analysis, channel and paid media optimization and ad-hoc analysis
Focus on data process improvement, standardization and governance
Develop digital expertise areas and deliver education and training to stakeholders
Analyze metrics of success for an audience acquisition channel or category, working with teammates to develop and test the efficacy and usefulness of various tactics
Act as the strategic analytical partner for Global Events, participating as our lead in strategic and tactical planning for overall Corporate Marketing analytics & insights efforts.
Participate in and support with actionable insights the annual planning process and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
Skills & Qualifications
8 years’ experience in marketing, advertising, B2B and/or Tech. with 5 years’ experience in a data and analytics role
Experience in position of team or virtual team leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; executive communication will be required
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and complex project management
Demonstrated use of modeling and statistical concepts applied to solve business problems
Possess core analytical competencies: problem formulation and analysis, data QA and results, summarizing findings and providing actionable insights
Experience integrating, cleansing, modeling and reporting on multiple data sources
Knowledge of databases, relational database concepts, SQL
Experience in digital marketing, knowledge of demand generation tactics, audiences and the systems and platforms that generate digital media data
You have built reporting in BI tools and have experience in Adobe Analytics, Eloqua and publisher data; Oracle Infinity experience a bonus
Experience in scripting, coding, scrum and agile methodologies a bonus
