Oracle Network/Telecom Systems Analyst 4-IT in Chesterfield, Missouri
As part of the Network Services team within Oracle's Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT services to Oracle's businesses worldwide, these services include the management and delivery of network infrastructure.
Maintain (and monitor) records of equipment failure and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary - and recommend / implement changes to procedures and practices. Escalate client problems according to established procedures but exercising judgment in the process. Manage the network using network management tools, analyze network performance and recommend / implement network enhancements. Analyze network performance to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs - and implement changes as appropriate. Working closely with 'global' network team / development recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure, and enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot network problems on the campus network, remote locations and the Irish wide area network though to resolution exercising independent judgment and creativity. Perform Project Engineering including specification definition, design of solution in compliance with corporate standards, implementation, testing through to production. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in a timely fashion. Provide technical and product leadership to management and contribute to Global IT policy. Provide on-call support services as needed and lead others in complex situations.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience and degree/diploma in computer science or IT discipline.

As part of the Corporate Network Team within Oracle s Cloud infrastructure organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of network and security projects and provide advanced level support of IT network, security and communication services across Oracle s worldwide Corporate Network.
The role will consist of:
Work with DevOps teams to deliver network and security projects in accordance to defined planning cycles.
Ability to identify automation opportunities to improve service excellence.
Advanced knowledge of scripting network automation utilizing: Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform.
Transitioning delivered solutions successfully into Network Automation & Operations.
Utilization of network and security management tools to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve network, security and communication events and incidents (including performance) across the corporate network.
Work directly with internal and external customers, Corporate Network Architects and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve events and incidents.
Leverage established work instructions and operating procedures to execute corrective actions and/or escalation requirements while responding to network, security and communications events and incidents.
Maintain records across corporate tools in accordance with established work instructions and operating procedures.
Review, understand, apply and improve tools, work instructions and operating procedures associated with solutions delivered.
Ensuring compliance, configuration and data quality levels are maintained at target levels
Resolve CVE or other compliance work through automation.
Design and support network and security services for the corporate network including; Firewalls, Proxy, IPS, Load Balancers and Routers
Participate in the corrective action process in identifying root cause and associated action items for service-related incidents.
Respond to escalations to client problems in accordance to established procedures.
Providing on-call support services as needed.
Assist with the development of tools for continuous delivery and deployment tools.
Participate in design meetings and security reviews, prepare design documentation, and develop, test, review, debug, and enhance existing/new capabilities and features.
Support network automation and orchestration tools throughout their life cycle
Qualifications, Education and/or Certifications
Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or equivalent experience.
5 years of related work experience in Network Security and Network Automation
Industry certifications for CCNP Networking, CCNP Security, Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) or equivalent
3 years demonstrated experience in developing network automation scripts using Python, Node.JS, Groovy, bash, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
Hands-on experience with configuration management tools: Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
5 years experience in Cisco IOS, JunOS, FortiOS, F5, McAfee
Working knowledge of micro services architectures, Docker and Kubernetes
Hands on experience with designing and deploying solutions in at least on major Public Cloud IaaS/PaaS environment
Strong, enterprise-level, security and networking background with an advanced understanding of network and security technologies
Ability to Travel: 0-25%
