Robert Half International IT Auditor in CHESTERFIELD, Missouri


Our client has an immediate need for an IT Audit. The IT Audit contractor will work with the Executive Director, Process and Quality Assurance, coordinate and execute the annual audit plan and all related audit activities.

Assists in conducting a variety of specialized duties involved in the review, analysis, and audit coordination of systems and processes to determine financial and operational efficiency, effectiveness, performance, and compliance with audit controls

Analyzes and stays up to date on IT audit controls for new controls or changed controls that impact IT Audits

Assists in developing department operating standards/controls/procedures to meet audit requirements

Works with internal and external auditors to coordinate audit activities

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT Controls Audit

Helps Field requests from auditors and coordinates with other Mercy resources for a response

Review data for completeness of information before providing it to auditors

Attend all meetings (entrance, status, exit, etc.)

Review all draft audit findings, recommendations, and draft reports

Tracks and follows–up to ensure proper implementation of audit recommendations

Maintain awareness and follow trends in the new laws and regulations associated with Data Privacy and Protection

Work closely with Mercy departments on their processes and procedures to help facilitate successful audits, making recommendations on process improvements as necessary.

Assist in the remediation of compliance findings and gaps

Perform periodic testing to maintain and validate adherence to audit and standards specifications

Develops control mapping documents to reflect the exact documentation that will be provided to meet each audit control and who provides this documentation to facilitate efficient, consistent, and highly effective audit outcomes

Supports processes or software that is critical to audit success as assigned

Keeps manager up-to-date on any audit status/findings/recommendations

Minimum Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in any of the following areas: internal or external IT audit, risk assessment, compliance, or similar role with experience in responding to ITGC, SOX, SOC, PCI DSS, ISO, and other audit requirements

Some understanding of corporate governance, risk, controls, and regulatory issues that could affect the organization

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior-level executives

The ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Other skills & knowledge:

Prior experience in IT with a general technical understanding of servers, databases, routers, firewalls, networks, etc.

Experience developing Policies and Procedures to support end-to-end processes

Project Management Certification Preferred

CISA, CISM, CRISC, PMP, ISA, or other relevant independent certification preferred

Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills

Excellent data analytical skills

Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience

Excellent business writing skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Capacity to be flexible in daily work to assist customers

Ability to develop and implement end-to-end business processes for better efficiency and effectiveness


Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), PMP Certification, IT Audit, Audit Tests, Gap Analysis
