Oracle Associate, Corporate Development in Chesterfield, Missouri
Manages and negotiates strategic transactions for Oracle Corporation, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic licensing, minority investments and joint ventures.
Responsible for reviewing incoming opportunities for acquisition, investment, licensing or joint venture. Develop and coordinate acquisition/licensing strategy with development groups, including identifying and prioritizing technology needs.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role.

Description: Oracle Corporate Development is a small, fast-paced and high-performing team responsible for the execution and integration of mergers and acquisition (M&A) globally. The Corporate Development Associate will play a critical role in all phases of an acquisitions process from target identification, pre-deal diligence, due diligence and negotiations to announcement communications. The Associate role will gain broad exposure to all facets of a transaction and interact with senior management of Oracle and the companies we work with; As such, we are seeking a talented individual with a blend of deep analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work with corporate development deal leads to articulate acquisition rationale and develop operating and financial models to support the business case
Lead diligence reviews of target companies and identify issues and paths to resolution
Help develop operating plans during due diligence to maximize value creation
Overtime, have the ability to scale in responsibility and lead transactions
Navigate a variety of business models and product areas that are relevant to Oracle
Requirements:
2-4 years of progressive experience in M&A planning, execution and project management with a top-tier investment bank, management consulting firm or have had comparable experience in other corporate development teams
Prior enterprise software experience preferred
Highly proficient in financial analysis and M&A processes
Understanding of organizational functional requirements, operational process flows, and corresponding KPIs
Work well in a non-hierarchical, fast-paced and proactive environment
Highly organized and must be able to manage and prioritize multiple high impact projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills and work well in large collaborative team environments
Strong level of curiosity and able to adapt to change
