YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Assay Development and Mechanism of Action Team Lead, are to:
Lead and mentor junior scientists;
Coordinate and manage scientists to deliver new assay solutions and data from experiments to support portfolio projects;
Provide guidance on cell and imaging technologies used;
Drive experiment design in partnership with project teams and data scientists;
Produce publication quality quantitative and qualitative data for publications and Global Regulatory submission approvals;
Provide cellular and morphological data to support MOA, optimization and advancement criteria for Discovery to Phase 3;
Manage projects through LIMS and prepare protocols for hand-off to meet HTS criteria for implementation by the Screening Team;
Partner with the Screening Team to develop data management and visualization solutions;
Provide content to support product marketing material;
Summarize and communicate technical data to internal and external stakeholders.
WHO YOU ARE
Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Ph.D. (preferred Biological Sciences) with 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree with 10+ years of experience in the development and practical application functional assays;
Strong record of ability to generate publication quality data;
Broad expertise in the application of cellular and imaging technologies (transmitted, fluorescence and label free, SEM and TEM);
Expertise in Quantitative Image Analysis software;
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and develop people;
Strong strategy, innovation, experiment design and collaboration skills across disciplines;
Excellent leadership skills including leading, influencing, and partnering across geographies.
Domestic relocation may be available for this role.
